Batteriovervåkning - før montering

Med den dyre batteribanken til Motorguiden kom et ønske om en mer presis form for batteriovervåkning enn grønt-gult-rødt lys.

Etter et tips bestille derfor denne på ebay.

Som teksten sier er det et display som kan vise to former for batteristatus samtidig.

Displayet får altså sin strømtilførsel fra de samme batteriene den overvåker. Fordelen med dette er at det er enkelt, ulempen med det er at alt som belaster et batteri går ut over statusdataene. Ergo vil displayet vise litt mindre V enn den reelle, siden displayet trekker strøm. Nå trekker neppe dette displayet mer enn noen miliampere, så noen stor misvisning blir det neppe, men jeg skal teste med et multimeter for sikkerhets skyld. Batteriovervåkning i denne prisklassen er uansett ikke en absolutt vitenskap, poenget er bare å få noe som er litt bedre enn jeg har i dag.

Jeg kobler altså en ledning fra batteri A sin minuspol i det grønne koblingspanelet, og en ledning fra plusspolen på batteri B til samme panel. Det gjenstår å se om det fungerer, jeg kommer med en oppdatering når ting er på plass i båten og ferdig testet.
